Norwich City are looking for their first win at Carrow Road in over a month when they welcome Derby County to Norfolk on Tuesday night.

The 2-0 win over Preston North End on 14th March was the last time the Canaries won at home, as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Portsmouth and lost 2-0 to Ipswich in the last two outings.

Philippe Clement’s side come into this game off the back of a 4-2 win over Bristol City, though, and will be hoping to avenge their 1-0 defeat at Pride Park in the first half of the season.

How Norwich lined up against Derby in October

Norwich were beaten by John Eustace’s side in October 2025 when Liam Manning, who lasted four more games after that, was still in charge of the club.

David Ozoh scored the only goal in a game that the Canaries struggled to create chances in, as they had one ‘big chance’ in 90 minutes at Pride Park.

Norwich lined up with Vladan Kovacevic in goal and a back four of Kenny McLean at left-back, Harry Darling and Jakov Medic at centre-back, and Jack Stacey at right-back.

Mirko Topic and Pelle Mattsson started as the central midfielders, with Ante Crnac, Liam Gibbs, and Oscar Schwartau in the three attacking midfield roles behind Josh Sargent.

Unfortunately, this was the game in which Crnac sustained his ACL injury that ruled him out for the rest of the season.

Latest Norwich City team news

Norwich’s Croatian winger will not be available to face Derby this time around, due to that ACL blow, but he is not the only player set to miss out on the squad.

Topic and Harry Amass have both had their seasons ended through injury, whilst it remains to be seen whether or not Jovon Makama or Papa Diallo will be ready in time for one of the final three games.

Jeffrey Schlupp returned to training this month, having been out of action since November, and Clement has confirmed that the full-back is in his “thoughts” to possibly play 20 to 30 minutes.

Matej Jurasek also remains on the sidelines through injury and the latest update on his situation was that he is not back out on the grass yet.

Predicted Norwich XI to take on Derby

Clement’s starting line-up to take on the Rams on Tuesday night should look considerably different to the one that Manning selected in October.

The goalkeeper, though, should remain the same with Kovacevic lining up between the sticks as the number one.

In defence, the Belgian boss could recall Ruairi McConville after he sat on the bench for the last two matches, as the Canaries have failed to keep a clean sheet in the three games since he last started.

Despite providing an assist against Bristol City, Oscar Schwartau could drop out to provide Amankwah Forson with a rare chance to shine.

As part of that attacking rotation, with three games in seven days, Anis Ben Slimane and Mathias Kvistgaarden could replace Ali Ahmed and Mohamed Toure.

With little on the line for the Canaries, Clement will not want to overwork any of his players and send them into the summer with injury issues that could disrupt their pre-season work.

That is why Schwartau, Ahmed, and Toure could make way to provide other players with an opportunity against the Rams.

With Norwich’s lack of available wide players on the left, this could be a good chance to see how Maghoma performs in that position, having played centrally and on the right so far.

Full predicted Norwich XI to face Derby: Kovacevic; Fisher, McConville, Cordoba, Gibbs; Mattsson, McLean (C); Forson, Slimane, Maghoma; Kvistgaarden
