- England U21s host Moldova at Carrow Road in Group D of Euro U21 qualifying.
- Norwich City’s Kellen Fisher might play at his home ground for his country.
- Three Lions are unbeaten in Group D, whilst Moldova have one win in seven.
England Under-21s look to make it six wins in seven games in their Euro U21 qualifying campaign as they host Moldova Under-21s at Carrow Road on Tuesday evening.
The Three Lions go into the game off the back of Friday night’s 1-1 draw against Andorra Under-21s, courtesy of a 90th-minute penalty from Rico Lewis, which keeps them top of Group D with 16 points from a possible 18.
That result made it the first game where Lee Carsley’s side dropped points in Group D and conceded a goal in Euro U21 qualifying – and their only draw in their last 10 games – the last one coming against Slovenia in June of last year. They also have not won any of their last six, having not won since 10 June 2025, when they beat Andorra 3-0.
But what makes this game special for us at ReadNorwich is the fact that the game is at our beloved Carrow Road and the sold-out crowd might see Norwich City fullback Kellen Fisher get a runout after being an unused sub in last Friday night’s game in Andorra.
As for Moldova, they head to Carrow Road having not won any of their last six qualifying games in Group D. They have, however, drawn their last two games, most recently holding Ireland to 1-1 draw last Thursday – but are fifth in a six-team group with just five points and one win.

Freddie’s betting prediction
As the odds show, the bookies are finding it an easy one to call, but maybe part of this is in relation to England’s unbeaten run in Euro U21 qualifying so far, and the poor form of Moldova (not won in their last six games).
For me, given England’s superior quality and unbeaten run so far, it would be silly not to go with the 1/50 for the home win, despite its poor returns.
It’s worth noting, though, that England did only just salvage a draw against Andorra last Friday, which makes the 16/1 look quite appealing. Moldova will be keen to cause an upset at Carrow Road, and you never know in a game of football.
