Norwich City travel to the Etihad to take on free-scoring Manchester City this weekend and I spoke to Josh Lawless of ReadManCity to ask him a few questions about what the Canaries can expect on Saturday.
How would you rate Man City’s start to the season?
It’s been a positive start on the whole. A couple of blips here and there such as the Spurs and West Ham defeats but we’ve improved massively on last season and are scoring a bundle of goals. It’s been great to watch and I think we’ll only get stronger.
Have you been impressed with the impact Man City’s summer signings have had so far?
A lot of the new signings have been impressive. Otamendi was awesome at Old Trafford and will get better playing alongside Kompany. Sterling has added something new but is still nowhere near the level he can reach and I think he is rapidly improving. The Delph one has been a disappointment after his injuries but hopefully he can get back into action and be a useful player.
With Aguero and David Silva out injured, who should the Canaries be wary of?
Aguero and Silva are undoubtedly our two star players and so their injuries have been big blows. But life goes on and Kevin De Bruyne has been incredible in their absence. I think he’s got six goals and five assists and spending £50m has never felt like such a bargain. He could tear Norwich apart.

Which Norwich player are you most worried about facing?
I like Hoolahan and I think his cleverness could potentially cause a few problems. Kolarov is very shaky at left-back and I think Redmond will be afforded a lot of time and space down the right. I rate him quite highly and think he’s probably your danger man.
Do you think Norwich have what it takes to stay up?
I’m not so sure – it’s a tough one! I think you have a better chance than Bournemouth and have that Premier League pedigree to compete better. Alex Neil will have done an incredible job if he does keep you up.
What’s your score prediction?
I fancy us to win comfortably given how many we’ve been scoring at home lately. I’ll go for 3-1 City.
I would like to thank Josh for his time and wish him and his team all the best for the rest of the season.
