Carrow Road was treated to a nine-goal thriller at the hands of Norwich City and Liverpool yesterday, only for a last-minute Adam Lallana goal and forgettable defending being the costly difference.
Goals from Dieumerci Mbokani, Steven Naismith, Wes Hoolahan and Sebastien Bassong would see City fans optimistic of their team winning at least a point against the Reds, however, goals from Jordan Henderson, James Milner, Lallana and a brace from Roberto Firmino would see the game end differently.
The game also saw the debuts of new signings Ivo Pinto and Steven Naismith, with the latter starting his Norwich career with a goal to his name.
