Norwich City have been linked with a shock move for Chelsea midfielder Danny Drinkwater this week.
According to The Daily Mail, Norwich have made an enquiry to Chelsea as they consider a loan bid for the England international.
The report claims, however, that Norwich are unwilling to pay his £100k-per-week wages, and Brighton are also showing an interest.
Following this news, some Norwich fans have taken to Twitter to voice their opinions on the matter…
Stephen thinks it would be a decent signing.

James believes the links are nonsense.

James Flett suggests that the arrival of Amadou means Norwich will not sign Drinkwater.

The links are rather odd, considering Stuart Webber’s comments about Norwich having the smallest budget in the Premier League and the Daily Mail’s claims of Drinkwater earning £100k-per-week at Chelsea.
Drinkwater also played one competitive match for Chelsea last season, coming on as a substitute in the club’s Community Shield defeat to Manchester City in August 2018.
With Norwich set to complete the signing of Ibrahima Amadou on a season-long loan from Sevilla, it would be confusing for the club to then push for Drinkwater – due to both players playing in the same position.
