Norwich City midfielder Mario Vrancic has hailed the impact Jurgen Klopp had on him earlier in his career.
Vrancic worked with Jurgen Klopp at two different clubs before joining Norwich and says that the current Liverpool boss helped him a lot.
Klopp was the manager of Mainz when Vrancic was coming through the youth ranks and gave him his first taste of senior football.
He then signed Vrancic again as manager of Borussia Dortmund, although Vrancic spent his time there playing in the under-23 side – Borussia Dortmund II.

Speaking to The Independent, Vrancic said this:
He helped me a lot, especially when I had a difficult time in my career, in the first few years when I didn’t develop how everyone expected. He always believed in me.
I’m still in touch with him. I used to play with his son, his step-son is a good friend. He still has his house in Mainz where my parents live, so we’re still connected to each other. He’s still the same guy. He’s an incredible person.
Vrancic is enjoying a good run of form in the Norwich team of late and has been impressive – with Norwich currently second in the Championship.
The Bosnian international has started nine Championship games this season, managing five goals and four assists.
