Championship rivals West Brom are believed to be closing in on a deal to sign former Norwich City defender Russell Martin.
According to Peter O’Rourke of Football Insider, Martin has enjoyed a trial with Darren Moore’s men and has seemingly done enough to earn a short-term contract with the club.
Several clubs are believed to be interested in signing Martin, who saw his contract terminated earlier this month.

It is believed that Martin could pen a short-term deal to see him through until the end of the season.
The ex-Norwich City defender would certainly provide plenty of experience and versatility to the Baggies squad and Darren Moore has shown he is not afraid to utilise the free agent market.
The report follows claims that the Baggies are also set to offer a deal to former Norwich City midfielder Wes Hoolahan.
Moore clearly remains keen to strengthen his squad to improve upon the impressive start that the Baggies have made.
