Norwich City winger Jacob Murphy is attracting a lot of interest from Premier League clubs this summer, and Newcastle are reportedly leading the race to sign him.
That is, according to the Mirror, who claim that the Magpies have stolen a march on the likes of Southampton and Crystal Palace in their pursuit of the 22-year-old.
It’s claimed in the report that the deal is set to be worth around £8.5m, but this is unlikely to be totally accurate given that Norwich surely value such a promising player more highly.

Murphy gave a good account of himself while out on international duty with the England Under-21 squad in Poland for the European Championships. This will have certainly increased his stock this summer and it comes as no surprise to see top flight clubs circling.
The youngster netted nine times in the Championship last season and also contributed with six assists for the Canaries.
