Norwich are one of several teams reportedly monitoring Pierre Xavier Fonkeu’s situation at Club Brugge.
According to an exclusive from Belgian news outlet Voetbal Nieuws today, the young striker is attracting a lot of interest from English clubs as his future in Belgium continues to come under scrutiny.
The 19-year-old is reportedly free to leave Brugge this summer as he seeks pastures new, and the Canaries are one of the named English clubs keen to land him.
Fonkeu has represented Cameroon at youth level and is touted with a big future out in Belgium. However, with Brugge strengthening their attacking options in the ongoing transfer window, the youngster doesn’t look to have a future with the club.
Despite Norwich’s interest in the out of favour striker, they will face immense competition to sign him. It’s claimed by the report that all three of Stoke, Sunderland, and Wolves are keen on acquiring Fonkeu if the opportunity comes about.
