Norwich City have officially announced that James Maddison has signed a new contract with the club.
Maddison has signed a four-year contract with the club, with his original contract set to expire in 2019.
The 20-year-old signed for Norwich from Coventry in January 2016 but has only made three league appearances for the club in that time.
Maddison spent the first half of last season on loan to SPL side Aberdeen, where he helped them reach the final of the Scottish Cup only to lose to Celtic in the final.
The attacking midfielder returned to City in January but made only three substitute appearances, although he did score againt Preston – his first Championship goal.
Maddison is seen as one of the best young players at the club, meaning that a new contract is a sign of intent from the club to keep hold of their up and coming stars.
Jacob and Josh Murphy both signed long-term deals over the course of the season, alongside striker Carlton Morris.
