Alan Pardew will be confirmed as the next Norwich City manager within the next 48 hours, Pat Murphy of BBC Sport reports.
Pardew has been without a job since just before Christmas when he was sacked by struggling Crystal Palace. He has experience in getting teams promoted to the Premier League, having guided West Ham to the top tier. The majority of his experience lies in the Premier League, having taken charge of Charlton and Newcastle in the top flight. He notably took Crystal Palace to the FA Cup final last season, where they suffered defeat to Manchester United.

Pardew looks to have been selected by the Norwich board over a number of competitors. Reports last night suggested that Gary Rowett, Steve Cotterill and more were interesting in taking over the reigns at City.
Alan Irvine will be in caretaker charge for Norwich’s clash with Blackburn Rovers later today, and they will be looking for a win to try and save their season.
