Norwich City defender Martin Olsson has signed a new contract with the club tonight.
The club have confirmed through their official site that Olsson has put pen to paper on a new year-and-a-half deal – taking his deal until the summer of 2018.
Olsson’s previous contract would have seen him leave on a free contract next summer, with clubs able to sign him on a pre-contract in January.
This means that Norwich are now sleep easy over Olsson, with his deal extending by a year on his old deal.

There was speculation linking Olsson with a move to Premier League side West Ham in the summer, but the Swedish left-back stayed at Norwich and has been a regular in the side.
Olsson is Alex Neil’s preferred left-back – although he missed the loss to Derby at the weekend with suspension.
Olsson was sent off last week against QPR for handball, but is likely to return to the side against Brentford this weekend.
