Norwich City have mastered the art of making the easy stuff look extremely difficult in their last few games, and this was most clearly demonstrated in turning a straightforward 2-0 home win into a nail-biting five-goal encounter.
On the bright side, however, Norwich managed to score three goals and looked generally solid at the back for the first 85 minutes. Notably, two of those three goals came from putting excellent crosses into the box, something which has been lacking in Norwich’s wide parts of midfield since the departures of the likes of Bradley Johnson and Nathan Redmond.
But for every old problem solved, another reared its ugly head as City’s defensive frailties came on full show in the final few minutes, gifting ex-Canary Anthony Pilkington two goals that nearly proved costly.
Here we take a look at what else we learned in the far too eventful win at Carrow Road on Saturday. Let us know in the comments what you took away from the game.
