Following Wednesday’s 3-2 defeat to Hannover, Alex Neil commented on Vadis’ situation at the club.
Vadis will probably resolve itself in the next few days. He wasn’t involved to safeguard him in case he picked up an injury, and he is going to be moving on.
Alex Neil basically announced that Odjidja-Ofoe will be leaving the club this summer, whether it’s on a loan to Legia Warsaw or elsewhere. He has cited the reason he didn’t feature in the friendly was to assure that he wasn’t injured for the incoming transfer.
Odjidja has only featured ten times since joining Norwich from Club Brugge in 2014, with very few of those appearances being starts, and his most notable moment being his assist for Alex Tettey during January’s 1-0 win over Southampton.
The 27-year-old has a portfolio that includes Anderlecht, Hamburger and, primarily, Club Brugge, where he played over 120 times, scoring 22 goals in a five-year period.
Vadis was was unlikely to get much game-time in the upcoming season for Norwich, with many players ahead of him in the pecking order, including Robbie Brady, Wes Hoolahan, Steven Naismith and James Maddison – all of whom play in his preferred positions.
