City defender Russell Martin could miss the beginning of the Canaries’ Championship fight due to a back spasm, according to BBC Norfolk.
Martin, who had previously been the centre of speculation with reports linking him to a move to Brighton and Hove Albion, had returned home from Norwich’s training camp in Austria to see a specialist after missing two pre-season matches.

He said:
It [the first game of the season] is probably going to cut it fine for him.

Although the Captain has not been fully ruled out by his boss, depending on his process with an injection.
I think determining how well he reacts to the injection will really give him a chance or not.
If he is indeed ruled out of the beginning of the season, he would join winger Matt Jarvis, who is set to miss three months after having an operation on an ongoing knee problem.
