Norwich picked up a massive three points in their bid for survival today after snatching victory over Newcastle right at the death.
Norwich dominated for the whole game and came out 3-2 victors in a thrilling and open match. Norwich opened the scoring on the brink of halftime through Timm Klose but were pegged back by Newcastle in the 71st minute with Aleksander Mitrovic coming on and scoring. Newcastle only stayed level for a matter of minutes, as a magnificent strike from Dieumerci Mbokani regained the lead for the Canaries. Mitrovic got his second of the afternoon after Gary O’Neil handled in the box and Mitrovic scored the resulting penalty. Then, in the 93rd minute when all hope seemed to be lost, Martin Olsson thrashed a strike along the ground and into the corner of Karl Darlow’s goal to send the Norwich fans into raptures and seal the victory.
