Norwich City striker Dieumerci Mbokani has told Norwich’s website that he wants to continue to work hard and score more goals for the Canaries to keep them in the Premier League.
Mbokani netted as Norwich beat Aston Villa 2-0 at Carrow Road yesterday and it was a win that lifted them to 15th place in the Premier League and further clear of the bottom-three.
Jonny Howson scored the opener with a an impressive left-footed volley in the first-half before Mbokani finished the game off in the last minute when he powerfully headed Wes Hoolahan’s cross into the bottom corner past Brad Guzan.
After the match, Alex Neil labeled Mbokani as a ‘beast’ and hailed his superb display during the match. Cameron Jerome has been the preffered striker this season but has been far from impressing and there has been plenty of calls for Norwich to sign a new striker.

However, Mbokani hopes he can continue to work hard and score goals as well as get more wins for Norwich:
I hope we will keep working towards the next match and that we can win that one too.
I believe that today this was Alex Neil’s decision because I have been working hard throughout the week.
There were some moments where I was injured but at the current time I am feeling very well, and I am going to continue working towards scoring more goals for Norwich.
The objective is to remain in the top division. We are going to continue like this, and for the next match we want to play in this manner again.
