Norwegian midfielder Alex Tettey will miss Norwich City’s visit of Arsenal this weekend after being ruled out with a groin injury.
Tettey missed Norwich’s 1-0 defeat to Chelsea last week after returning from international duty with the injury following Norway’s failure to qualify for Euro 2016.
Alex Neil confirmed Tettey would remain out but captain, Russell Martin, will return following his absence because of family reasons last weekend.
We’ll have the same squad as last week. Russell Martin was in the original squad but pulled out for family reasons at the last minute. He’ll come back but other than that Alex Tettey is not quite right for the weekend. It’s not a major concern at all for us in the long term; Alex will be fine. He won’t be available this weekend but it’s not going to be something that keeps him out too long.
The manager confirms that Russell Martin will return to the squad for Sunday, but that Alex Tettey (thigh) will miss out. #ncfc

Neil went on to say he sympathised with Tettey’s situation:
It’s difficult when he goes off and plays for his country. Of course he was desperate to play in two games where Norway could have reached the finals of the European Championships. They played twice in quick succession and as we know that can be an issue and it proved to be the case.
This will be seen as a big blow for Norwich as the powerful midfielder has been an almost-ever present so far this season but with competition for places so high in the Canary midfield, it will be seen as an opportunity for players such as Graham Dorrans who has found himself on the bench recently.
Norwich face Arsenal at Carrow Road live on Sky Sports on Sunday and the Gunners will be eager to bounce back following a disappointing 2-1 defeat to West Brom last Saturday.
