Norwich City are expected to start without a natural left-back for today’s clash with Bristol City after Ben Chrisene was ruled out through injury.
The left-footed defender is expected to undergo surgery on a shoulder injury that is set to see him miss the remainder of this season.
Jeffrey Schlupp is due to be on the bench, for the first time since November, and Lucien Mahovo will return to training next week.

Norwich expected to make move for Harry Amass
Despite the Red Devils loanee’s loan being cut short due to injury after his debut against Coventry City, Canaries supporters may not have seen the last of the defender.
According to West London Sport, Norwich City are expected to target a move for Manchester United’s Harry Amass in the summer transfer window.
The report claims that Queens Park Rangers are also interested in the 19-year-old left-back, and that the Canaries will provide competition for his signature.
He is said to be QPR’s top target in the left-back position ahead of the summer, which means that Ben Knapper and Philippe Clement may need to move quickly.
Amass’ contract at Old Trafford expires in the summer of 2027 and a permanent move could be on the cards for the teenager, with Norwich and QPR set to battle it out for his services.
A calculated gamble…
Bringing the Manchester United youngster back to Carrow Road on a permanent deal after he missed the last few months with a hamstring injury would be a gamble.
Norwich have had more than their fair share of injury issues at left-back with Mahovo, Schlupp, and Chrisene, which has left them badly in need of a reliable option in that position.
It remains to be seen whether or not Amass can be that reliable player at left-back because he is coming off the first major injury of his career.
If the 19-year-old talent can stay fit, though, he would be an excellent addition to the squad as an energetic, attack-minded, number three.
Amass averaged 4.2 tackles and interceptions per game across 21 starts with Sheffield Wednesday in the league during the first half of the season, whilst scoring one goal and providing one assist.
It would be an interesting deal to bring him back to Carrow Road, should they beat QPR to his signature, and one that could be a big boost to Clement’s side if they can keep him fit.
A phase I keep finding myself saying is “if it’s good enough for Clement, it’s good enough for me”…
