Leeds United have made an enquiry about signing Norwich City midfielder Emi Buendia, a source has exclusively told Read Norwich.

With the Yorkshire-based side hoping to get promoted and with the Canaries rooted to the bottom of the Premier League and looking likely to get relegated, the two clubs could soon be swapping divisions and it looks like Leeds want Buendia to come with them into the top-flight if they can finally get the promotion they’ve been chasing for so long.

We are not, at this stage, aware of the reply that Leeds have had from the enquiry for the Argentine, or if he’d even be interested in such a move, we are just aware that the Championship side have asked the question.

It’s hard to see Buendia staying with the Canaries if they do get relegated though, but it remains to be seen what type of fee Norwich will be able to achieve if they do cash in, given the impact that the global health crisis has had on the finances of football clubs across the globe.

Would Emi Buendia be a good signing for Leeds?
