Norwich head coach Daniel Farke has revealed that Christoph Zimmermann and Onel Hernandez are both set to miss Friday’s clash with Leicester.
Both were absent as Norwich were smashed 3-0 by Wolves at the weekend, with Farke giving little hope that they will be fit for the match against Brendan Rodgers’ side.
Speaking to the EDP, Farke said:
Christoph has a muscle strain. I would say at this stage he is very doubtful for Leicester already.
With One,l no final update right now. It looks like he needs another surgery so he would be out for a few weeks. But we haven’t had the final decision yet. I think he will be out for a bit longer.

Zimmermann’s absence at the back was evident as Norwich were swept aside with ease by Wolves. Norwich have only conceded more than two goals in a game with Zimmermann in the team once, which was away to Manchester United – hardly the easiest place to visit.
Without Zimmermann, Norwich have conceded three or more goals in a game five times, highlighting his importance to the defence.
He has also started three of the four games in which Norwich have kept clean sheets this season. The only game he missed where Norwich didn’t kept a clean sheet was the 0-0 draw away to Bournemouth, a game which ended with midfielders Alex Tettey and Ibrahim Amadou playing at centre-back.
Without Zimmermann, Ben Godfrey and Grant Hanley both struggled with the movement of the Wolves forwards and were too easily beaten for all three goals.
They now face a Leicester team who are third in the league and have Jamie Vardy, who has scored 17 Premier League goals so the pair, knowing that Zimmermann is likely to miss out, will seriously need to up their games.
