Wolves goalkeeper John Ruddy has admitted that he would be interested in becoming a coach at Norwich after he retires as a player.
Ruddy says that he will be moving back to the city of Norwich after his playing days are over and also claimed that he could be interested in joining the Canaries as a goalkeeping coach if they wanted him.
Speaking to the Pink’Un, Ruddy said:
For me, I’ve got a real passion about goalkeeping so if I was to remain in the game then I think it would be as a goalkeeper coach.
I call Norwich home and I’ll be moving back there when I retire. If an opportunity arises and I have the qualifications and the club thinks I’m the right person for it then it’s something I would be interested in.

Ruddy is out of contract at the end of the season and is poised to be a free agent unless Wolves offer him a new deal. If he does become available on a free, it could be a shrewd bit of business for Norwich to bring him in.
With Ralf Fahrmann set to return to Schalke at the end of his loan spell, Tim Krul could have little competition for his place heading into next season.
Bringing Ruddy in could bolster the goalkeeping ranks and keep Krul on his toes, whilst allowing Ruddy to return to the club and potentially earn his coaching badges before he retires.
This could also allow Ruddy to retire at Carrow Road and naturally progress into a role as a coach at the club.
However, it must be said there have been no reports suggesting that Norwich would be interested in signing him. If they were, though, the reasons stated above are why it could be a good signing for Daniel Farke’s squad.
