England have named their squad to face Bulgaria and Kosovo in Euro 2020 qualifiers next month.
No Norwich players have made the squad, but Aston Villa defender Tyrone Mings has been given the nod after just three Premier League appearances.
These Norwich fans think Godfrey should have been in the squad…
James is sure of it…

Is he better than Mings?
Twitter: Sorry. Mings isn’t in the same bracket as Godfrey. Can’t deny he’s had a big impact at Villa though. #ncfc (@jdknights71)

Where’s his call-up?

Cantwell and Godfrey over Lingard and Mings?
Twitter: Would love to know what Mings and Lingard have done that Godfrey and Cantwell haven’t? ? #ncfc #England (@Nath09wright)
Not fit to lace his boots…

READ NORWICH VERDICT
Despite being five years younger than Mings, Ben Godfrey has already played more games at centre-back in his career than the Villa man. Mings started his career at left-back for Ipswich, before also playing there in the Premier League for Bournemouth.
Mings has had an impressive start to the Premier League season, but handing him a call-up over Godfrey, and experienced campaigners like Lewis Dunk and Jamaal Lascelles, seems an odd move from Gareth Southgate.
Godfrey, arguably, outperformed Mings last season and in the three games so far this term, although Southgate may want him to experience football for England’s under-21 side first.
