Cantwell was due to be out of contract this summer before the club exercised an option in his deal to extend it for a further year, with the 21-year-old now putting pen to paper on a longer-term agreement.

This comes after the news that Cantwell will be wearing the number 14 shirt next season, taking over from Norwich legend Wes Hoolahan.
Cantwell scored once in 24 appearances last season, mainly playing as a wide midfielder – off the left – as well as picking up two assists in the Championship.
He joins Tim Krul, Marco Stiepermann, Timm Klose, Onel Hernandez and Kenny McLean in signing a new deal this summer.
