Norwich City are rumoured by The Daily Mail to be looking at current out-of-favour Newcastle United striker Dwight Gayle.
The Magpies forward, who spent last season on loan to fellow Championship club West Brom, managed 24 goals across all competitions, in what seemed like a smart piece of business by the Baggies.
However, failure to secure promotion from the Championship may ensure that Gayle will play his football elsewhere in the upcoming campaign, and Premier League football could be an alluring offer.

This news follows the departure of fellow striker Jordan Rhodes, whose loan spell from Sheffield Wednesday has expired, and is expected to cost around £7 million, as per the report.
Daniel Farke will be looking for someone to take the pressure off last season’s top goalscorer Teemu Pukki, and Gayle may be the man to do this.
With Rhodes priced at £7 million, Norwich’s tight finances may see the former Crystal Palace star as a better value for money option, and his Premier League experience would be welcome in the side.
