Norwich defender Ben Godfrey has said he is relishing the prospect of coming up against the Premier League’s top strikers next season.
The 21-year-old has been one of the Canaries’ success stories this season in his breakout year for his boyhood club.
He spent last season on loan at League 1 play-off finalists Shrewsbury. He was a mainstay in the side and got a lot of praise for his performances.
Godfrey looked like he would go out on loan again this season but he was given a chance in the first-team at the start of the campaign and he has not looked back since.
The England U20 international is now a Premier League player and he is looking forward to the tests ahead. As reported by Paddy Davitt, Godfrey named some strikers he is looking forward to playing against:
Twitter: #ncfc BG: ‘Rashford, Aguero and Deeney. I can’t wait to face these type of strikers.’ (@paddyjdavitt)
Norwich City and Sheffield United have rightly received a lot of praise for their attacking football this season and they should be great additions to the Premier League.
Daniel Farke has done a brilliant job with the Canaries to implement his philosophy and to bring some talented youth into the first team.
Godfrey, Jamal Lewis and Max Aarons have all shone this season and they will all be vital in their return campaign in the Premier League.
