Norwich City have been handed a blow in their attempts to land Wolfsburg midfielder Elvis Rexhbecaj this summer.
The Canaries were preparing an offer in the region of €8m for the midfielder, as they look to bolster their squad ahead of the Premier League season.

However, according to German tabloid Bild, relayed by The Pink UN, Rexhbecaj, who was also attracting interest from Leeds United, looks likely to stay in the Bundesliga with his current employers.
The 21-year-old joined Wolfsburg’s academy back in 2010 and made his Bundesliga debut for the club two years ago.
Rexhbecaj has impressed for the German side this season in his 24 appearances this season, establishing himself as a first-team regular.
Norwich’s sporting director Stuart Webber has recently revealed that the club will continue to target unproven potential over players with Premier League experience, so the Canaries look set to explore the German and other European leagues further in their pursuit of summer signings.
