Norwich are reportedly in a race to sign Uruguayan defender Nicolas Acevedo, according to a report from the Daily Mirror.
The Canaries have been taken by the 19-year-old, who is currently contracted to Liverpool – not the Merseysiders, but rather Liverpool FC of Montevideo instead.
A versatile player, the prodigy is said to be capable of playing either in defence or midfield, but may find himself pushed towards a particular position as he gets older.
Anyhow, Norwich are certainly not the only team keen on adding Acevedo to their ranks.

Liverpool (Scouse version), Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Udinese are also named by the Mirror as teams keen on signing the defensively minded force, who has played the bulk of his minutes at centre-half.
Currently appearing for his country’s under-20s in the South American Under-20s Championship in Chile, Liverpool and Manchester United are said to have sent scouts to watch Thursday’s match against Argentina.
An uphill battle ahead for Norwich perhaps – but Daniel Farke will certainly be able to offer more playing time than any of those other teams. So have hope!
