Norwich City defender Jamal Lewis is being tipped to make a big mark on the international stage for Northern Ireland.
Speaking to reporters ahead of their clash with Bosnia, as reported by The PinkUn, Northern Ireland boss Michael O’Neill discussed Lewis and his potential.
We really liked what we saw of him against South Korea and I think he’s a player with a big, big future.
O’Neill went on to acknowledge the opportunity that the Norwich City star has in front of him.
He’s played, I think, maybe 20 first-team games over the course of this season and last, so we have to give him time.
In relation to the left-back position, Daniel Lafferty would be another option, but he has played very little over the last 18 months at Sheffield United, so there’s a real opportunity for Jamal to come in and make that position his own.

The defender is set to start against Bosnia after making his debut at international level last season.
West Brom’s Chris Brunt recently confirmed his retirement from international football, leaving his position at left-back needing to be filled.
Lewis has impressed after breaking through at Norwich and his performances are not going unnoticed.
