Norwich City have released former club captain Russell Martin, concluding a career of nine years in East Anglia.
The defender joined Norwich from Peterborough in late-2009, eventually joining on a permanent deal in January of 2010.
Impressing in League One, Martin was a critical component in the 2010-11 promotion campaign, making a mammoth 49 appearances in all competitions.

A mainstay of the back four, the Scotsman was named club captain in 2013.
Martin saw three promotions and two relegations as a Norwich player, and by the end of his time at Carrow Road had become something of an afterthought.
Making just seven appearances in the 2017-18 season, Canaries fans must have sensed that the 32-year-old’s time at Norwich was drawing to an end.
Martin has also been capped by Scotland 29 times, most recently in 2017.
