Norwich City have confirmed that defender James Husband will spend the first half of the season on loan at League One side Fleetwood Town.
As per the official report on the club website, the former Middlesbrough player will spend time away from the club after falling out of favour.
Husband has struggled to impress during his time at the club and came in for criticism from Daniel Farke after his performance away at Birmingham.
He has often struggled to hold down a place in Norwich’s squad, with Marco Stiepermann and young Jamal Lewis being given chances ahead of him.
The report does not clarify if the player has a long-term future at the club, but the move to Fleetwood will allow him to play regular first-team football after falling out favour at Carrow Road.
Husband now joins up with Joey Barton, who took charge of the club this summer. Fleetwood currently sit 10th in League One after three games of the new season.
