Sheffield Wednesday manager Jos Luhukay has defended his decision to allow club-record signing Jordan Rhodes to join Norwich on loan.
The Scottish international made the move to Hillsborough from Middlesbrough in 2017, following an initial loan spell.

A fee of around £10 million was reportedly forked out for the forward, but the expected return has failed to materialise.
35 appearances for the Owls last year saw Rhodes hit the back of the net on just seven occasions, as he failed to impress Luhukay.
Allowing him to join Championship rivals Norwich on loan for the 2018-19 season, Luhukay doubled down on the decision.
The Dutchman said:
We must first look now at our team,
That is what the future has given us.
Hopefully Jordan finds his way at Norwich. We hope Jordan plays a lot of games and scores a lot of goals for himself and his new club.
Wednesday were allegedly demanding a loan fee of £3 million, but are understood to have almost entirely waived it in place of the Canaries subsidising a larger amount of the centre-forward’s wages.

Luhukay went on to say:
We must have a little bit of patience and trust in what we have done. We look to the future and wait to see what can happen.
