Norwich have been linked with a move for young PSG striker Samuel Essende, who is close to leaving the French capital on a free transfer according to Goal.com.
The young striker’s youth deal in the French capital expired on the 30th June, with Paris St Germain keen to get him tied down to a new contract. However, with an offer on the table from the French Champions, Essende is now a free agent and is free to look at offers from elsewhere.
This comes amid a troubling time for the French champions. The Qatari backed side’s acquisitions of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe have put their European campaign in danger, with the French side in danger of failing the financial fair play rules set out by UEFA.
PSG have been forced to sell some stars, with Javier Pastore’s move to Roma being one example.
Norwich are one of several European sides taking a look at the 20 year old, with Anderlecht, Brighton and Genoa all taking an interest. Anderlecht look the most likely to sign the striker, after already submitting several offers.
Essende netted nine four times in nine appearances in the UEFA Youth League last season.
