Championship side Wigan Athletic are eager to sign Norwich City forward Yanic Wildschut on a season-long loan deal, according to a report on the Eastern Daily Press.
Wildschut has struggled to find goalscoring form for Norwich and hasn’t broken into the starting lineup as much as he would have hoped since signing for the club back in January 2017.
Wildschut had a hugely successful stint with the Latics prior to his move to Norwich. He found the back of the net seven times to help them gain promotion to the Championship in the 2015/16 season.
Now, the Latics want their former attacker back and Norwich could be open to letting the 26-year-old leave on loan for the season.
He only managed to score one goal for Norwich last season under Daniel Farke, who then decided to loan him to Cardiff City.

He struggled to impress at the Welsh club and the winger is now looking for a team where he will be given regular playing time to help him rediscover his form in front of goal.
Wigan are yet to make a formal approach for the Dutchman, who didn’t leave the Lancashire club on good terms.
