Norwich are reportedly interested in signing either Danny Ward of Liverpool or Dean Henderson of Manchester United to fill the gap left by Angus Gunn as he returns to his parent club Manchester City.
Gunn was predictably a fan-favourite at Carrow Road this season, and the 22-year-old appeared between the sticks in 46 games in the 2018/19 campaign.
The impressive performances from the City-owned shot-stopper are likely to earn him a starting spot in the Premier League next season, be that on loan or as a permanent signing for a top-flight team.
Daniel Farke is henceforth needing to find a replacement for his outgoing goalkeeper, and appears to have isolated two targets.
Danny Ward spent last season as Liverpool’s number three goalkeeper, and the year before was the first-choice goalie for Huddersfield’s promotion run.
The 24-year-old made 45 appearances that year for the Terriers, and also has one Wales cap to his name.
Diversifying his options however, Farke also has eyes for Manchester United prospect Dean Henderson. The phenom spent this season at Shrewsbury, playing 38 times in a season that ended in the playoff final.
The third option for Farke would be to use Remi Matthews, fresh from a loan spell at Plymouth. Turning out 20 times for the Pilgrims, the 24-year-old has yet to play in the Championship.
