Norwich City are trying to sign German striker Marvin Ducksch to help solve their problems up front, report the Eastern Daily Press.
Ducksch currently plays for 2. Bundesliga side St Pauli but spent this season on loan at Holstein Kiel, who are in the same division.
It was an excellent season for Ducksch as he scored 18 goals in the league, making him the top scorer as they finished third, thus going into the promotion play-off.
They lost that tie 4-1 on aggregate against Wolfsburg but it was still an impressive season for Ducksch.
With just one year remaining on his contract in Germany, Ducksch could be sold for a relatively low fee and Norwich manager Daniel Farke is one of many keen admirers of the 24-year-old.

Farke has already shown he likes to use the German league to buy players from. Since joining the club last May, he has signed six permanent deals from his homeland, as well as one player on loan.
