Christoph Zimmermann has been nominated as the PFA Community Champion for the 2017/18 season, as per the Community Sports Foundation.
Zimmermann has been impressing on the pitch under Daniel Farke in his first season at Carrow Road, but in addition has been involved in many activities as part of the Community Sports Foundation, Norwich City’s charity.
These include attending the EFL Girls’ Cup and Schools Cup, engaging with all people involved, as well as staying at Carrow Road after the home match against Queens Park Rangers to sign autographs.
He also attends disabled matches and wished to be part of the disability programmes when he joined the Canaries last summer.

Upon being nominated, the 25-year-old said (via Community Sports Foundation):
I feel honoured and happy to have won the award and it’s a pleasure to have been chosen by the Foundation and the Club; I’m very thankful.
The Community Sports Foundation Chief Executive, Ian Thornton added:
Christoph has made an amazing contribution to our player visits this season and we’re really grateful for his dedication in supporting a range of our programmes.
He has shown a real interest in the community projects so far, and is always keen to learn more about the Foundation and their community work.
