Norwich will demand £25m for James Maddison

Norwich City have put a huge £25m price tag on reported Chelsea and Tottenham target James Maddison, according to a report from John Cross of The Mirror.

A number of top clubs, such as Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United have been linked with moves for the England under-21 star, but it looks like Chelsea and Tottenham are the sides with the most interest.

Both clubs have developed a policy of buying young English talent and Maddison is widely regarded as a player who is ready to take the step up to the Premier League.

Norwich understand just how important the midfielder is to their plans as they look to build a side capable of getting promoted next season. However, every player has a price and in order to protect themselves, the Canaries will ask for a massive £25m before they even consider selling.

According to Cross, both Chelsea and Tottenham wouldn’t baulk at such a fee, so time will tell if either are able to get a deal done for Maddison.
