Norwich make loan bid for Chelsea’s Kasey Palmer

Norwich have made a loan bid to Chelsea for Kasey Palmer, according to John Cross of The Mirror.

Chelsea are ready to let the 21-year-old go out for the rest of the season, with Birmingham, Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday also keen on signing the midfielder.

Palmer spent last season on loan at Huddersfield Town, where he helped them achieve promotion to the Premier League. He originally intended to stay at the Terriers for the entirety of the current season but he terminated his loan earlier this month after only featuring for them in five games.

Palmer was part of the England Under-21 squad crowned champions of the 2016 Toulon Tournament and is extremely well thought of at Chelsea, who are keen to send him somewhere where he’ll get regular game time.

With a number of clubs interested, it is no foregone conclusion that the 21-year-old joins Norwich but he’d be a very good addition if he does.
