Norwich City manager Daniel Farke has labelled fellow Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers as the benchmark other teams in the division should be aspiring to emulate.
Speaking after his side’s 2-0 loss to Wolves, who are top of the Championship table by a single point after 15 games this season, Farke said (via Eastern Daily Press):
There will be setbacks and 100% I am convinced the day will come when you [Norwich] are able to play on the level of a team like Wolves.

They were the best team we’ve played,
There was a gap, we don’t have to discuss that but I am pretty sure with players fit and young lads developing, like James Maddison, Josh Murphy and Harrison Reed, we will improve over the course of the season because they have the quality.
Wolves have won ten of their 15 games in the Championship so far this season, and boast the division’s largest goal difference at +12.
Farke thinks Norwich can get to that level, though:
We have good young players and that day I feel will be pretty soon. When you think about the ones we have had to do without – Nelson Oliveira, Alex Pritchard, Steven Naismith, Yanic Wildschut and Christoph Zimmermann

I really believe we are not that far away from the best teams in this league but when there is a situation like this I can’t punish or accuse my lads
Norwich are next in action on Saturday, when they take on Bolton Wanderers away from home.
