Norwich player ratings: QPR (H)

Norwich City picked up their first win of the Championship season on Wednesday night as they beat QPR 2-0.

The Canaries produced a superb display as they battled hard to beat Ian Holloway’s side at Carrow Road.

A strong start by QPR was well defended by Norwich, with a gritty first-half ending 0-0.

Mario Vrancic and Nelson Oliveira made sure Norwich had the perfect start to the second half, as the former set up the latter to open the scoring in the 49th minute.

QPR then came close to equalising but for a top double save from Angus Gunn to keep Norwich in front. Gunn made a low diving save to push away the first effort before rushing back across his goal to pounce on the rebound and collect the ball.

Harrison Reed sealed the win for Norwich in the 82nd minute. The midfielder drove forward with the ball and unleashed a rasping shot into the top corner from 25-yards.
