Norwich City manager Alex Neil has revealed the latest squad update ahead of their trip to face Burton Albion later today.
Neil started with some very poor news for City fans. Top goalscorer Nelson Oliveira is set to miss up to six weeks with a foot injury.
The forward, who recently scored against Wigan, is likely to miss the next month of action – including the derby next week – as a result.
Speaking to Norwich’s website, Neil said this:
It’s going to be about four to six weeks, depending on the severity of it.
Steven Naismith also remains sidelined. The Scotsman has been missing for a number of matches with a hamstring injury but will be hoping to return for the Ipswich match next week.
Ivo Pinto is also set to miss the game after Neil labelled him as ‘touch and go’ following the knock which ruled him out of the Newcastle match.
Youssouf Mulumbu could also be missing, with the midfielder currently struggling.
He (Pinto) looks as if he’s going to struggle. Steven Naismith is still out and Youssouf Mulumbu is still struggling.
Matt Jarvis, Louis Thompson and Graham Dorrans are all out.
