Former Reading and Galatasaray midfielder Jem Karacan is to feature for the Norwich City U23 side on trial this evening, the club have confirmed.
The young Canaries face Portsmouth in the Premier League Cup group stages.
Karacan is currently a free agent after he was released by Galatasaray at the beginning of the month. He comes with a wealth of Championship experience, having played over 130 games at this level for Reading. He also has Champions League experience, having featured for Galatasaray against Atletico Madrid earlier this season.

27-year-old Karacan has featured for Turkey at youth level but is yet to earn his first senior cap for his country. He played for the U17, U18, U19, U21 and U23 teams, and scored two goals in his combined 27 appearances.
Karacan would be another option in central midfield for the Canaries and would be crucial at the moment with Norwich having only two senior central midfielders available for selection.
