December was a poor month for Norwich in truth.
Norwich played six matches throughout the month, picking up just seven points in the process.
The Canaries lost three, won two and picked up one draw – yesterday against Brentford.
Norwich also beat Brentford earlier in the month 5-0, beating Aston Villa 1-0 as well.
However, losses to Barnsley, Reading and Huddersfield left Norwich ending the month – and year – 12th in the Championship table.
Picking a player of the month for Norwich has been easy. Only one player picked up more than one man of the match award during the month.
In fact, he picked up three. Our Norwich player of the month for December is… Nelson Oliveira!
The summer signing from Benfica scored four goals in six matches throughout December and was our man of the match against Reading, Barnsley and Aston Villa.
The centre-forward dislodged Cameron Jerome from the side and has become a real fan favourite very quickly with a number of impressive performances and stunning goals.
Hopefully he can continue his form into the New Year – starting tomorrow against Derby!
