Five Norwich youngsters to watch

A common theme this season at Norwich has been youth players stepping up to the mark and beginning to contribute to the first team, some more than others. These obviously include the Murphy twins, Louis Thompson and Carlton Morris, but there are much more than them.

Alex Neil has supported this by buying much younger players than we have been used to, with players such as Sergi Canos, Ben Godfrey and more signing within the last year.

However, in this article, I will be looking at the players down in the U23’s who have little to no first team experience, who have the potential to get in it. They’ll be lesser obvious than most and hopefully, they’ll begin to break into the first team in coming years like the one’s currently progressing.

I’ve taken advantage of the free tickets in the last few years and have seen a lot of youth matches. Some can be completely boring and stale, other’s can be thrilling and exciting such as Norwich’s 7-2 victory against Southampton last year.

With the big game against Swansea coming up on Tuesday in the EFL Trophy, I somewhat feel I am qualified to recommend some of our youngsters. Let’s get into it.
