Ireland’s “freshest” coffee brewers and sponsors of Norwich City’s South Stand, The Galway Roast, only opened their first café in Norwich in May earlier this year.
However, according to the EDP, Norwich City chairman Ed Balls has been holding discussions with the company in recent days following the company’s sudden and unexpected closure this week on London Street.
The Galway Roast took over from long-term sponsors of the South Stand, Jarrolds, at the start of the season.
Ed Balls has said “we are working out the best way to handle this.”
“It is all mid-negotiation and very hard for us to talk about it; they have made some contractual commitments to us, and we are hoping they will fulfill them.”
Norwich City has said there will be an update on the issue in coming days.
The unexpected closure has left uncertainty over The Galway Roast’s future with Carrow Road, especially considering the café, which has been rated 4.5 stars out of 5 on TripAdvisor, supplies coffee to hospitality areas on a match-day as well as sponsoring Irish winger Robbie Brady.
