Domestic football returns in the UK following the end of the international break, with Norwich City returning to action with a home fixture against Welsh outfit Cardiff City.
While Norwich fans may have been grateful for a two-week long relief from the pains of being a football fan following their side’s crushing 3-0 defeat to Birmingham, the players will no doubt be rearing to get back on to the pitch and right some wrongs.
It could be argued that the international break came at a perfect time for Alex Neil, as a number of his key players had picked up short-term injuries. Two weeks of rest and recovery will likely be enough time for most of those absentees to be ready for selection, giving Neil much-needed options in certain positions.
Longer term injuries, such as the ones suffered by Martin Olsson and Alex Pritchard, may need a while longer to get them back up to full match fitness.
