Norwich face Sheffield Wednesday this Saturday in their first home game of the season, hoping to continue their good form following a stunning 4-1 win at Blackburn Rovers.
Norwich’s attack looks to be somewhat formidable in this division, despite calls for new strikers to be signed, with Hoolahan, Naismith, Jerome and Ja. Murphy all making appearances last week. It’s an attack that leaves most teams cowering in fear but it will not suffice.
Whether our attack will last in this league is really going to be put amongst the limelight tommorow, as Sheff Wed are undeniably better in defence and attack than struggling Blackburn.
In the past when Norwich have faced Sheffield Wednesday, goals haven’t been short, and with one of Sheffield’s main strikers being Norwich’s former hitman Gary Hooper, who was superb during the second half of last season, this match is certainly set up to be one of the best of the season, despite being only the second weekend. Sheffield Wednesday have a very good record against us, which is evident in the last five games.
They won nine games in a row against Norwich from 2005-2010.
