When a player goes down injured on the last day of the season and has to be substituted just 10 minutes into the game, it makes sense for people to worry about his participation in an upcoming major summer tournament, but thankfully, it appears that Norwich City defender Martin Olsson will be fit to play for Sweden at Euro 2016.
The Norwich left-back was replaced after just 10 minutes during the Canaries’ 3-0 defeat to Everton at Goodison Park which had some speculating as to whether or not he’d be fit to represent his country in France this summer, but manager Alex Neil told the Eastern Daily Press that he substituted the 28-year-old as a precaution rather than because of a serious injury.

He said:
Martin has just strained his groin so we had to take precautions with him and that is why he came off early.
Olsson looks set to be part of the Sweden squad for the summer’s showpiece event where he could come up against the man who replaced him at the weekend, Robbie Brady, when Sweden play Ireland.
