Well, that was dreadful.
Yet again, an embarrassing performance from Norwich to end the season on a low. Goals from Mirallas, Baines and McCarthy condemned Norwich to a 19th place finish. This loss cost Norwich roughly £1m in the drop in prize money between 18th and 19th, could that come back to haunt us in transfer negotiations this summer?
A woeful performance all round capped off an all-around poor season for the Canaries who go out with a whimper. This was the polar opposite to Newcastle, who battered title challengers Spurs 5-1. The fact we can’t pull something like that out of the bag is the reason we are going down.
Norwich now have the summer to prepare for another season in the Championship, let’s hope this one can be as fun as the last.
